Protecting Life

A new birth of freedom must begin with the preborn, where we the people secure the most fundamental God-given right–the inalienable right to life of the weakest and most vulnerable among us. We have failed to secure this fundamental right for every American, evident in the death of over 60 million innocent pre-born children since 1973.

In the oral arguments before the Supreme Court in Roe v Wade, Justice Potter Stewart recognized that if medical science proves that life begins at the moment of conception, then Roe must be overturned. Now, 46 years later, the evidence is clear and undeniable. Together we must stand for truth, waving high the banner of life to rally all those who support a Personhood Amendment declaring that life begins at the moment of conception. Abortion has no place in a country that values freedom, love, and peace.  A new birth of freedom must begin with restoring love and peace for as in the words of Mother Theresa “the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”  Together we can love both the mother and the preborn child.

On day one of the 117th Congress, I will cosponsor the Personhood Amendment. I will work tirelessly to defund Planned Parenthood and to restore our First Amendment rights including our religious freedom. I will be your voice for the voiceless to stop the march towards infanticide.

Please read the excerpt from Mother Theresa's speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in 1994 below.  I've included a link to the C-Span video above.

"We are talking of love of the child, which is where love and peace must begin.

But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?

How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world.

Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."
